2011 Korean Festival

October 22, 2011 the Korean-American Society of Houston (KASH) is holding the 2011 Korean Festival this year just before Halloween. "The Korean Festival (K-Fest) was created with the idea of uniting the Korean Community while showcasing Korean culture to the Greater Houston Community. The 2011 K-Fest will provide a fair-like atmosphere for diverse groups and performers such as traditional Korean dancers, Korean folk musicians, TaeKwonDo masters, and Korean American musicians who will conduct demonstrations and exhibit their unique talents.

Our goals are to:

* Raise awareness of Korean culture through culinary, artistic, and theatrical expressions from various vendors and performers,
* Strengthen relationships between the Korean community and the City of Houston,
* And bridge the cultural gap between the first and second generation of Korean-Americans.

The 2011 K-Fest will be an experience unlike any other in the great City of Houston that both Koreans and non-Koreans can enjoy. We hope you have a great time and thank you for sharing the day with us!

SNSD Comeback Confirmed!

Right after the release of the MV Bad Girl we have come to learn that SoNyeoShiDae is indeed poised to make their comeback this September!

Right now they seem to be recording so the comeback might be altered by a week or two but this is no ordinary comeback like their passed few. It was released that this will be a FULL album and not a mini album. So expect a lot from the girls as they prepare their Korean comeback!

Worldwide K-pop Day Picnic in Houston

안녕! Hey everyone! This Saturday, August 13th, is the first WorldWide K-pop day! If you're in the Houston area, be sure to show your love for K-pop by attending the Houston K-pop Picnic at Hermann Park!

As of now, we plan on celebrating K-pop in all ways possible: dancing, eating, games, music, eating and having lots of fun!

Since we are a rather new organization, we're asking for those in attendance to be oh so kind and bring anything you can. That could be any snack/picnic foods that you'd like to have: chips, dip, fruit, drinks, napkins, WATER...guns? etc. ANYTHING will be greatly appreciated!

*ALSO* We need something to play music on. Any volunteers??

We hope you can make it out and celebrate K-pop with us all!

Also Below is a map of the location. It is circled in red and highlighted in yellow for you :)
